As you heard yesterday, the library, along with our PTA, will be hosting a Fall Scholastic Book Fair all next week in our school library. This will be a great chance to stock up on some really good reading heading into the winter months. If you're a Wimpy Kid fan...We've got exciting news for you! The newest Diary of a Wimpy Kid #21 titled Fight or Flight will be officially released next Tuesday and you can be one of the first to have a copy from our fair. You'll want to shop early in the week to experience the best selection of new titles from some of your favorite authors. You can get a sneak peak of all the books that will be featured on our fair by visiting the book fair website now linked to the library's Google Classroom page. Check it out today!
Congratulations to Mrs Heinen's advisory, who collected 75 food items for the St. Boniface/St. Gabriel food pantry and won the ice cream party!!!! Thank you to all of KMS for your generous donations to help others. We collected a total of 287 food items!!!! Key Club appreciates your kindness and generosity!!!!
As we head into playoff time for fall sports and get ready for the start of winter sports, we wanted to send out a reminder message to all students in grades K-8.
Each year, a letter concerning your child's safety while attending home events at Germantown High School is shared with you. Monitoring the behavior of K-8 students continues to be a priority for the Germantown School District.
That being said, an adult must accompany all K-8 students who attend activities at Germantown High School. In addition, while at the event, the adult must actively supervise the K-8 student. All children attending home events will be required to be under the direct supervision of the adult chaperone who accompanied them to the event. Germantown School District is concerned about the safety and welfare of your child. Please help us by appropriately supervising your child. We look forward to seeing you and your child at Germantown High School events this school year. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. Go Warhawks!
AM Reminder - only the Gold Gym or the cafeteria in the morning. If you have food or drink, you must consume it in the cafeteria.
STUDENT CAFETERIA/RECESS RULES REMINDERS
Once seated, stay seated (no wandering around the cafeteria or standing by other tables)
When going out for recess, do not go in the road/driveway; you must remain on the sidewalk until you get to the grass.
CELL PHONE RULE REMINDER - Cell phones should be turned off and kept in your locker throughout the school day. In addition, you may not have your earbuds in the hallway. You will be asked to remove it and you may receive a consequence.
Lockers - Make sure to take all food or drink (water is ok) out of your locker every night to make sure that it doesn’t spoil and attract ants or other insects. Please keep your locker clean and organized. Follow the KMS Way!
WALKING - After school on Fridays, a lot of students walk to businesses in the area. Remember to show the KMS Way when you are in the community. Be safe, be responsible and be respectful. We are counting on you to represent us well. The law says stay off the roadway unless you’re in designated crosswalks, stay on the sidewalks, stay off private property (this includes Gehl company and neighboring residences) and remember your safety rules. Please be safe. Look both ways. Use common sense. Remember the KMS Way and we can all enjoy our evening!
