Good luck to the gymnastics team as they head to Arrowhead for an invitational tomorrow!

The Ice Bears had two games this week. On Friday the team played Appleton United. In the first period the Bears scored one goal to take a 1-0 lead into the second period. In the second period three goals were scored, all by the Bears, one goal was assisted by sophomore defenseman Trevor Newkirk on the power play. In the third period the Bears added one more goal to finish the game with a 5-0 win.

On Wednesday the team traveled to Cedarburg for their second conference game. The Bears jumped out to a quick start scoring 19 seconds into the game. Cedarburg scored about 4 minutes later to tie the game up. The Bears scored toward the end of the period to bring a 2-1 lead into the locker room between periods. Though the Bears outshot Cedarburg 21-4 in the second period no goals were scored. In the third period the Bears added three goals with Junior Stone Daczka scoring one and assisting on another. The Bears went on to win the game 5-1 outshooting Cedarburg 55-12 in the game. The Bears now lead the conference with 2 wins and no losses in conference. They take the ice against Fond Du Lac tonight at 8:00 p.m. in West Bend.

Good luck to the girls' hockey team as they head to the Ozaukee Ice Center tomorrow for a 2:45 match-up!

The boys' swim team competed at Waukesha North Last night.  This was perhaps the best competition the team has had this season.  Despite the pool being a meter pool (normally pools are yards) and it being exam week, the boys swam admirably!  Aiden Schelfout took 1st place in the 100 Freestyle while Jayden Knight did so in the 400 freestyle.  The relay of Brett Haensgen, John Inga, Preston Bowerman & Connor Warmke took first in the 200 freestyle relay.  Connor also placed 2nd in the 50 free and 100 breast stroke.  This week Saturday the boys will swim in the final invite of the season at Menomonee Falls High School.  Competition starts at 1pm.  Come watch the racing and feel like you are taking a staycation in the warm, humid air of the pool area!  Next week we will be hosting JV conference on Thursday, competition starts at 5pm, and then the team will travel to Waukesha South on Saturday to compete in Varsity conference, competition starts at 1:30pm.

Good luck at the Homestead Wrestling Invitational tonight and tomorrow!
