Warhawk Pride / Vol. 5, No. 13

On Thursday, December 1, GHS Choir performed with the Wisconsin Philharmonic Orchestra at the Oconomowoc Arts Center.  They, along with Waukesha North, Oconomowoc, and Brookfield Central Choirs filled the second act of the Christmas Concert with a beautiful Christmas Carol Sing along, and various other seasonal selections.  The finale of Handel's "Hallelujah chorus" was enough to give goosebumps to the sold out auditorium!  Well done to all!

The Wall of Sound continued its annual tradition of performing for the students and staff at KMS on the day before Thanksgiving break. The band has a great time performing for the students and seeing their former teachers.

United Sound does much more than teach music. It creates great friendships. This group recently had a scavenger hunt to learn about different places in the PAC, band room, and choir room. To claim a location, they had to talk pictures at the spot. Everyone had lots of fun exploring the new places.

The Boys' Basketball team were 2-1 this week competing 3 times in a span of 6 days.

On Tuesday the boys took on Plymouth on the road and unfortunately couldn't hold onto a late lead and fell in overtime 84-80.  Mason Freiburger had 18 points and 9 rebounds.  Carter Privatt scored 17 and grabbed 7 boards.  Will Van Fossen had 12 points and dished out 8 assists.  Peyton McKenna contributed 10 points and 8 rebounds.

Last night the Warhawks took down Milwaukee Vincent 87-34 in a total team effort.  The team had 5 total players score in double figures.  Ryan Ferguson with 13, Will Van Fossen 12, Luke Karll and Nick Heisl with 11, and Mason Freiburger with 10.

Will Van Fossen had 3 charges this week!  1 in each game!
