The Choir sings the National Anthem at the Homecoming football game.  Well done to all!

The Wall of Sound had a busy weekend between Homecoming and the Oak Creek Marching Invitational.  It is always fun to perform for the home crowd for any football game but Homecoming makes it extra special, especially with six members of the Homecoming Court. It was nice to see the many alumni who come back to check out what is happening. After seeing parts of the show, the Wall of Sound will perform its entirety for the October 14 game.

On Sunday, the Wall of Sound traveled to Oak Creek for the Marching Knight’s Invitational. They scored a 78.2, almost four points higher than the week before. The Color Guard had a fantastic weekend and amazed the audience and judges. This weekend they will travel to Mukwonago for Phantom Fest on Sunday.  Good luck!

The Warchix had a very exciting Homecoming week! They participated in the pep rally where they performed one of their own routines along with performing with the football team! The football team and the Warchix worked together all week long to prepare for their exciting performance together! The Warchix were also supporting the football team at the game on Friday night where they performed at halftime and cheered on the Warhawks! The team had such a fun week!

The GHS Varsity Boys’ Soccer Team took on the 3rd ranked New Berlin Eisenhower and came out with a 2-1 comeback victory.  The team gave up an early goal in the first half that got bounced around in the box and was finished by an Eisenhower's star player.  The team went into the half down 0-1, but were able to put in 2 goals in the second half.  The tying goal came from Tyler Mortell, assisted by Mason FreiburgerMason had a throw-in off the left side inside the 18.  He has a big throw and was able to connect with Tyler for the volley into the net to make it 1-1 with about 20 minutes left in the game.  About 10 minutes later, Mason Freiburger had the game winning goal, assisted by Dax Schroeder.  Off a corner kick, Dax served up a great ball and Mason put it in with a header.  Great Job!  The team’s next game is a home game against Marquette, next Tuesday.  Good luck!
