This past week Christy Stankiak represented the State of Wisconsin and the Germantown DECA Chapter at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC).  The team is pleased to announce Christy received an individual role play award for her marketing competition (automotive services marketing) and placed in the top 20 nationally.  Congratulations to Christy and Germantown DECA!

The Warhawks Softball had a busy week. They played Menomonee Falls on Monday, DH against Brookfield Central on Tuesday and a game against DHSA on Thursday. They went 3 and 1 for the week. Sarah Nasif, Nicole Ramstack, and Hailey Williams all pitched a gem. The hitting was contagious for the Warhawks.  They ended the week with a .328 team average. Josie Smith and Maddy Balsinger led the team in averages. Madison Werner had a 2 run Home Run on Thursday to help with the win against DHSA. Emmy Coulter, Nicole Ramstack, Hailey Williams, Taylor Wilson, Kate Partridge and Leah Heinz all helped in the hitting department. Sarah Nasif pitched 12 innings while Nicole Ramstack had 9 with Hailey Williams rounding it off with 7 innings pitched. They combined to leave 29 girls on base. Your Warhawks are now ranked number 6 in the recent newspaper polls!

 Also, congratulations to Nicole Ramstack who was selected to compete in the WFSCA Allstar game!  There were only 76 girls that were selected out of 371 entries.  Congratulations, Nicole!

The Germantown Boys' Golf Team  was in action on  Monday for the GMC Conference mini meet #2.  Germantown shot a team score 161 , finishing 5 shots behind first place Marquette.

Camden Schmidt finished in overall 2nd place with a 36, followed by Joey Bruss 39, Cody Schmidt 42 , Sam Sies 44 and Justin Ische 45.

On Wednesday the team played in the Brookfield Central invite and finished in 5th place.  Germantown was lead by Camden Schmidt’s 76 followed by Cody Schmidt 79, Sam Sies 81,  Joey Bruss 84 and Justin Ische 88.  

Germantown will travel to Erin Hills Saturday for the MACC FUND INVITATIONAL, the team raised $1,000 to contribute to Childhood Cancer.  

After a few weeks of canceled meets, the varsity girls were finally able to get back on the track! It was a chilly night at the Washington County Invite on Tuesday, but the girls were still able to compete well. As a team, the girls scored 94 points and placed 4th overall. 

Top performances included: 

Rylie Olson - 3rd place in the 100m dash

Lauren Jex - 3rd place in the 400m dash

Lizzy Liker - 3rd place in the 2 mile run. 

Kate Allen - 3rd place in the high jump

Piper Eby - 2nd place in the discus throw. 

A 1st place finish for the 4x100 relay team of Samyra Ryles, Miranda Leffler, Addison Braidigan, and Rylie Olson

A 1st place finish for the 4x400 relay team of Reese Berge, Claire Reedy, Melanie Marks, and Gretchen McNeal

A 2nd place finish for the 4x800 relay team of Khushi Tanna, Lizzy Liker, Alyssa Ferguson, and Lauren Jex

The Varsity girls will be back in action at the Greater Metro Conference Relay Meet at Hamilton next Wednesday and then face off against some of the best talent in the state at the Myrhum Invite at Arrowhead next Saturday.  

On Thursday night, the JV girls competed at the Hamilton JV Invite. As a team the girls scored 49 points and placed 7th overall.  

Top performances included: 

Hailey Kalal - 3rd place in the 100m Hurdles

Mya Bell - 2nd place in the 300m Hurdles 

Claire Reedy - 1st place in the pole vault

The JV girls will compete next at the North Shore JV Relays on Monday. 

The varsity baseball team played one game this week, losing to Menomonee Falls, 6-1. Johnny Nieskes pitched 3 hit baseball for 6 innings in the loss. The team takes on University School Saturday.  Good luck!

Congratulations to the Germantown Boys’ Tennis Teams on their amazing hitting this week against Wauwatosa East. Both the Varsity and JV had some heated matches against East which resulted in the JV winning 6-4 and the Varsity Winning 6-1! Awesome work and keep it up!
