Congratulations to the Band and Choir students that performed at the WSMA District Solo and Ensemble Festival on Saturday at Menomonee Falls High School. There were 96 total events, with 34 events earning the honor of performing at the WSMA State Festival on May 7. Special congratulations for the following students who earned perfect scores from the judges, Owen Addison, Rebecca Draeger, Austin MacIntyre, Vali Martinez, Max Masterman, Lydia Morency, Julia Sherman, and Angela Zheng.

Congratulations to all the students who competed in the 49th annual SkillsUSA State leadership and Skills competition. Third place winners were Mackenzie Brandt in CPR/first aid, Dhir Patel in Architectural Drafting and Noah Gasper in Medical Math. Taking home the silver were the team of Grace Kons, McKenna Lange, and Mackenzie Brandt in Promotional Bulletin Board. Placing first and qualifying for nationals in Atlanta, Georgia in June were Kritha Gopinath in Medical Math, Noah Gasper in Job Interview, and Mark Theys in Carpentry.  Congratulations and good luck at Nationals!

On the dates of March 28 - 29, 59 Germantown FBLA students attended the first ever state leadership conference in Madison, located at the Alliant Energy Center. Students competed in a variety of events, attended workshops, and attended business tours such as the UW-Madison Business School, Alliant Coliseum and the Monona Terrace.  


Out of the 59 Germantown students, 16 qualified for the National Leadership Conference this summer in Chicago! To qualify for the national conference, students must place top four in their event. Many other students were recognized for their accomplishments. Congratulations to all!

The Varsity Softball Team played Tuesday night. A six RBI Day for Kayla Preiss sealed the deal in a 16 to 5 win over Wauwatosa East Red Raiders. Kayla drove in runs on a SAC Fly in the first, a Grand Slam in the third and a triple in the fifth. The team racked up 15 hits on the day. Preiss, Skylar Bryl, Balsinger and Partridge each had multiple hits. Bryl also had a home run in the first inning. Nicole Ramstack took the win and pitched three innings with 44 total strikes and 26 balls. Hailey Williams came in the third inning to relieve Nicole and had 19 strikes and 9 balls to get the save.

Tuesday night the Varsity Track Team began their outdoor season at the Oak Creek Classic. As a team, the Girls placed 3rd and the boys placed 1st! A solid start to the season! For the girls, top performers included:

Rylie Olson - 3rd place in the 100m dash

Gretchen McNeal - 1st place in the 400m dash and the 300m hurdles.

Melanie Marks - 3rd place in the 400m dash

Lauren Jex - 3rd place in the 800m run

Khushi Tanna and Kate Ittner - 2nd and 3rd place in the 2 mile.

Kate Allen - 1st place in the high jump

Piper Eby - 2nd place in the discus throw

A 2nd place finish for the 4x200 relay team of Macie Daniel, Lily Wagner, Emily Mohs, and Addison Braidigan


For the boys, top performers included:

JV Myles - 2nd place in the 100m dash, 1st place in long jump, 1st place in triple jump

Dillon Walker & Gavin Sadowski - 2nd and 3rd place in the mile

Jayson Koel - 1st place in the 400m dash and the 200m dash

Jonas Price - 1st place in the 300m hurdles

Cody Rafn - 3rd place in the 800m run

Cooper Feltz - 2nd place in the 2 mile

Hunter Gosz - 1st place in the high jump

A 3rd place finish for the 4x400 relay team of Hunter Gosz, Joey Knopp, Vance Burnham, and Jayson Koel.


Special congratulations to JV Myles who set a new school record in the triple jump with a jump of 47’ 3”!  This breaks the previous school record of 46’ 9” that he set last year.

It's been a wet start to the boys’ tennis season, with some rain outs and a snow out! The varsity team started the season with a tough loss to Madison Memorial 3-4. Wins came in singles from Braeden Sinden, and doubles from Dylan Tylicki/Darren Tylicki, and James Goetter/Adam Emerson. Next was a 2-5 loss to Appleton Xavier. Trevor Newkirk won his first varsity match in singles and the doubles team of Conner Pallan & Cole Neinas won an exciting 3 set match! The team's first win was against Cedarburg 5-2. The team had strong singles wins from Trevor Newkirk and Sam Schilder and all three doubles teams won their matches (Conner Pallan/Cole Neinas, Casey Emerson/Adam Emerson, Dylan Tylicki/Darren Tylicki). Next up for the Warhawks is a Quad in Mukwanago, and a dual match (V/JV) at GHS on Tuesday, April 12 at 4pm against Port Washington. Good luck!

The boys' golf team is starting their second day of the Den at Fox Creek Invitational in Bloomington, IL.  Camden Schmidt is leading the way for the Warhawks, currently sitting in second place, and Joey Bruss is currently tied for sixth.  The team sits in second place- just five strokes behind Homestead.  Good luck today!
