The music honor society, Tri-M had a busy week while celebrating the season. They joined in the Winter Wish Week by decorating the music hallway after school on Friday.  Their efforts brought many smiles of amazement on Monday, when the students returned to school for the week. It certainly made spirits shine for the week.

Tri M members shared their gift of music with the residence of the Gables. After several practices to prepare the music, the gave a short concert for a very appreciative audience. A special thank you to Tri-M president, Matthew Wanta for all the coordination and planning of the performance. Music is such a big part of the season, it was a great thing to share with the people at the Gables.

Over the past few months the Germantown DECA team has been focused on helping out those in need.  In late October, the chapter lead a food drive as a part of DECA's "trick or can" event.  With the help of their fellow Germantown students, the event collected over 600 cans of food for those in need.  In December, the chapter focused on making holiday cards for our veterans.  Spending many hours after school, the chapter created 270 hand-made cards.  While many in the chapter are responsible for the project's success, a special thank you goes out to Daniela Martinez and Vanessa Ivanov for organizing and leading both projects.
