GHS Main Entrance

Good afternoon,

On Friday evening, Germantown High School will host two large co-curricular events that will strain our parking lots to their maximum capacity.  We are writing today to make you aware of this information in case you plan to attend either of these events:

1.  The WIAA Football Level 2 playoff game at 7:00 versus Wauwatosa West at Datka Stadium. We expect their fans to travel well and we have had large home crowds this year for regular season games.

2.  A pre-scheduled Band Concert at 7:00,  featuring the Wall of Sound and the KMS 8th Grade Band, to be held in the GHS Fieldhouse. We expect to have 200 students performing and 600 in the audience.

As a result, please consider the following:

  • Please carpool as you are able, especially parents and students who normally drive.

  • Plan to arrive early to give yourself time to walk to your destination.

  • Those with limited mobility may be dropped off at the Datka Stadium Gate or the Fieldhouse entrance.

  • All staff lots will be open. In addition, the service driveway between the PAC and the Pool/Fieldhouse on the north side of the property will be available for parking.

  • Those parking in the north (staff) lot may use the north driveway to walk to the Fieldhouse or Stadium entrances.

  • The soccer field lot off of Mequon road will be open and available. Drivers may enter from Mequon Road.

  • The roads in the Industrial Park to the west of the school have “no parking” signs posted, but will allow parking for these events only. DO NOT PARK in the businesses within the Industrial Park, however.

  • There is NO PARKING permitted on River Lane. Those who do so may be ticketed or towed.

  • The Blackstone Creek subdivision to the east of the high school is private property. Do not park in the subdivision as that could lead to being ticketed or towed.

  • Please do not park on grassy areas; especially with the recent rains, as we do not want vehicles to become disabled in the wet soil.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we demonstrate the diverse abilities and accomplishments of our students.

Go Warhawks!
