BaseballThe Warhawks improved to 15-0 this week, and more importantly Clinched their First Conference Championship since 2013 with a win last night vs. Hale!!

They are also ranked # 1 in the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association and JS Online polls this week!!

Monday, May 4th: A combined no-hitter from Liam Hagland and Nolan Vogt, coupled with a staggering 14 walks drawn at the plate, propelled the 2026 Germantown Warhawks to a 3-1 victory over the Marquette University Hilltoppers on Monday. Hagland earned the win with a dominant start, racking up four Ks and working around four walks to allow just one unearned run over 5.1 hitless IP before Vogt slammed the door with 1.2 perfect frames of relief. Germantown capitalized on the free passes to manufacture their runs, with Jon Murkowski and Grady Cheever collecting the team's only two hits of the afternoon while driving in a run apiece. Ty Olszewski and Connor Meyers each drew three walks and scored a run to keep constant pressure on the bases.

Tuesday, May 5th: The Germantown Warhawks defeated the West Allis Hale Huskies 6-3, powered by a dominant outing from Brady Lauer and a clinical multi-hit performance from Jon Murkowski. Lauer earned the win on the hill, racking up seven strikeouts while surrendering just two earned runs over 6.2 masterful frames. Offensively, Murkowski spearheaded the attack with two hits and two runs scored, while Grady Cheever and Ty Olszewski each contributed two RBIs to anchor the Warhawks' lineup. Germantown utilized aggressive base-running to swipe seven total bases and capitalize on extra-base hits from Murkowski, Olszewski, and Carter Gordon. West Allis Hale remained competitive behind a triple and two RBIs, but the squad struggled to find a rhythm against Lauer’s steady command.

Thursday, May 7th: The Warhawks cruised to an 8-2 victory over West Allis Hale, as Brady Keller threw 5 innings of 3 hit ball, giving up no earned runs, while striking out 8. The Warhawk offense banged out 12 hits and stole 8 bases en route to the victory.

Grady Cheever collected three hits and drove in three runs, while Jon Murkowski, Carter Gordon and Ty Olzsewski each chipped in with two hits. Jon Murkowski stole the 4 bases to lead the Warhawks, Olszewski had 2.

Next up for the Warhawks is a non-conference game on Saturday vs Greenfield at 11 AM.

The following weekend the team travelled to Racine Case High School to play in their invite. The boys secured a 3rd place finish by beating St. Catherine's/Racine Lutheran and St. Thomas More. James Buchta, Sasindu Wimalaratne, and Zhixiang Huang won their first ever Varsity matches that weekend!

On May 2nd, Josiah Schmidt, Will Shermach, Grant Walsh, Arush Chopra, and Klayton Bohling participated in the annual Washington County Invite. Grant Walsh and Arush Chopra won the consolation championship.
