The Warchix competed at New Berlin West last weekend and placed 2nd in their Pom routine! They will be competing again tomorrow at Menomonee Falls! Great job and good luck to all!

The boys' basketball team is coming off a victory over Hamilton on Tuesday night where the won 78-42. They head to the Brookfield Central Luke Homan Invitational this weekend. Good luck!
Last Friday the girls' basketball team defeated Menomonee Falls 77-57. Morgan Johnson led the team in scoring with 23 points, while Teigan Stuve put up 14 points. Teigan also had 4 assists, 6 rebounds, 7 steals and 3 blocks. Kierta Siegert led the team in rebounds with 8.
On Tuesday the Warhawks dropped a tough 68-59 decision to Hamilton. Teigan Stuve had 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals, while Avery O'Brien contributed 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Morgan Johnson led the team in assists with 4 and Kierta Siegert led the team with 7 rebounds.
The girls travel to Whitefish Bay to take on the #2 team in Division 2 on Friday. Good luck!

The Germantown Boys' Swim Team had a busy week this week as they hosted two duals. On Tuesday they hosted Hartford Union and they fought hard but came up a bit short in the end.
Casen Piotrowski took first in diving with a season best score of 229.55. Germantown took 1st and 2nd in the varsity 200 medley relay. Tyler Kirsch took 3rd in the varsity 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:12. Gabe Garves took 2nd in the 200 IM with a time of 2:27. Aiden Kreitzer took 2nd in the varsity 50 freestyle with a time of 26.13. Tyler Kirsch and Isiah Prahl came in 2nd and 3rd in the varsity 100 butterfly with 1:11 and 1:12. Daniel Xu took 3rd in the varsity 100 freestyle with a time of 58.59. Jacob Osterbeck took 3rd in the 500 freestyle with a season best 6:24. Germantown A and B relays took 2nd and 3rd in the varsity 200 freestyle relay. Aiden Kreitzer won the varsity 100 backstroke with a season best 1:10.34. Gabe Garves took 2nd in the varsity 100 breaststroke with a season best 1:10.04. And Germantown A and B relays took 2nd and 3rd in the 400 freestyle relay. Jacob Osterbeck went on to be the swimmer of the meet with 4 season best times in all his events! Way to go!
Thursday night the Warhawks hosted the Wauwatosa Hurricanes. Germantown competes hard but were edged out by Wauwatosa in the end. The meet was highlighted by Casen Piotrowski winning diving AGAIN. The varsity 200 medley relay took 2nd. Jack Nicol, Zach Prescott, and Edgar Rock took 4th, 5th, and 6th in the varsity 200 freestyle. Maddox Prahl and Daniel Xu took 3rd and 4th in the varsity 200 IM. Gabe Garves, Isiah Prahl, and Jack Nicol took 4th, 5th, and 6th in the varsity 50 freestyle. Tyler kirsch took 3rd in the varsity 100 butterfly with a season best 1:09. Aiden Kreitzer and Jacob Osterbeck took 3rd and 4th in the varsity 100 freestyle. Isiah Prahl took 2nd in the varsity 500 freestyle with a personal best of 6:09 and Amay Desai and Daniel Xu took 3rd and 4th. In the 200 freestyle relay the Germantown A team took 2nd and the B team took 4th. Aiden Kreitzer took 2nd in the varsity 100 backstroke and Amay Desai took 5th. Gabe Garves took 1st in the varsity 100 breaststroke and Jacob Osterbeck took 5th. In the 400 freestyle relay the A team took 2nd and the B team took 4th. Casen Piotrowski also competed in his first swimming event leading off the 200 freestyle relay B team.

Last night the Warhawk wrestlers earned a GMC victory over rival neighbor Menomonee Falls 61-16. Picking up victories for the Warhawks were Kaden Uscola, Kellen Becker, Isaac Weber, Johnathan Marth, Daniel Schmit, Jack Brukbacher, Isaac Momper, Kamden Rytlewski, Austin Bruenger, Noah Sakac and David Schultz.
Last weekend the JV competed at Brown Deer with Masen Tiedemann and Daniel Schmit both taking first place and Colton Schneider taking third place.
This weekend the Boys Varsity will be at Muskego high school to defend their title at the Warrior Duals. Girls Varsity will be at Wausau West high school to compete in the Woman’s Warrior Challenge. Good luck to both teams!

The MSG Ski Team competed against Badger, Muskego, Nicolet, and Waukesha on Wednesday, January 14th, at Alpine Valley in Slalom. Despite a cold and windy night, the team turned in an excellent performance as they officially hit the halfway point of their season.
The Girls Varsity and Boys JV Red teams both earned 1st place finishes. The Boys Varsity team finished 3rd, and Boys JV Gray placed 4th overall.
Individual highlights for Germantown included Grayson Butzke, who finished 10th on Boys Varsity. For Boys JV, Justin Sossaman placed 6th, Izaak Zaretzky finished 14th, and Evan Kazmierczak took 20th.
The next race is Thursday, January 22nd, at Heiliger Huegel (HH) for Giant Slalom. Good luck to all racers!
On Sunday, January 11, the MSG Ski Team competed against Marquette, Mukwonago, and Whitefish Bay High Schools in Giant Slalom.
Team Highlights were: Varsity Girls, Varsity Boys, and JV Boys Red all earned 3rd place finishes and JV Boys Gray finished in 5th place.
Top Germantown Performers were:
Varsity Boys: Grayson Butzke placed 6th out of 24 racers
JV Boys: Justin Sossaman, Izaak Zaretzky, and Evan Kazmierczak all had strong finishes contributing to the team’s success.
