On Saturday, May 17th, JV athletes finished their season at the Greater Metro Conference Outdoor Championship Meet hosted by West Allis Hale. The boys scored 38 points to place 7th out of 9 teams and the girls scored 184.5 points to place 1st out of 9 teams. Congratulations to the girls for winning both indoor and outdoor conference meets this season!

Good luck to Baseball as they take on Sussex Hamilton tonight at Hamilton and tomorrow at home! They also play New Berlin Eisenhower at noon tomorrow at home. Post season play starts soon and the Warhawks look to host a few games!
The boys' Varsity golf team concluded regular season play this week. On Monday the team played its final mini meet of the season , shooting a 150 and tying for second place behind Marquette. Leading the way were a pair of Juniors Brendan Fredrickson and Preston Filter with an even par 36. Rounding out the team scoring was Reid Newkirk 38, Charlie Larson 40 and Trevor Newkirk 41.
On Wednesday the team battled the elements at Morningstar Golf Club in the final Conference Meet. Cold, wet windy conditions and the Warhawks played steady all day. The goal entering the season was to challenge #1 state ranked Marquette for the title. The team did that all season long and with 3 holes remaining they had a chance. Eventually the Warkhawks came up a few strokes away from a conference title, however finished the season in solo second place. Pacing the Warhawks was Charlie Larson's 76, followed by Trevor Newkirk and Brendan Fredrickson 78, Reid Newkik 82 and Preston Filter 86. Well done to all!

Congratulations to Mitch Birchbauer who earned all conference honorable mention as a goalie! The team and GHS are very proud of your accomplishments! Mitch has been exceptional in representing Germantown High School this year as part of the lacrosse program.
On Saturday the JV and Varsity teams played Whitefish Bay. JV tied 2-2, JV was down 1-0 when Emily Laitinen scored to level it 1-1. WFB scored in the second half, but Allie MacDonald scored the equalizer of a long ball in from Madison Burns late in the second half. The Varsity team took down #9 ranked Whitefish Bay 3-1. Jaycee Mani led the scoring, with 2 goals. One coming off a cross from Leah Brock in the first half and the go ahead goal from a service from Paige MacIntyre. Mary Leininger scored in the 78th minute to put the game out of reach. It was a great game and overall day for the program!
Last night, both JV and Varsity beat Tosa West 5-1 in a conference matchup. JV goals were scored by Claire Kamyszek, who had a hat-trick on the day, Abby Humphriss, and Claire Holke. Varsity goals were scored by Megan Grater, Jaycee Mani off a corner served in by Grater. Gabbie Hetzel also scored to put the Warhawks up 3-0 at the break. After conceding a goal, the Warhawks scored two unanswered goals from Jaycee Mani to finish the game 5-1. It was a physical game but the girls rose to the challenge. We are back at home on Tuesday May 27th against West Allis Hale for Senior Night. The softball team avenged their early-season loss to Sussex, raising their record to 15-3 and finishing the GMC slate in 2nd place with a 14-2 record.
Madison Werner (2-3, HR, 2 R, RBI) socked her team-leading 9th HR and Mia Hansen (1-3, HR, R, 2 RBI) clubbed her 3rd HR. Ally Pentek (2-3, R) and Julia Sina (2-4, R) added 2 hits apiece, and Kennedy Bennett (1-3, 2 RBI) had a clutch 2-out 2-run single.
Alaina Williams went the distance in the circle, raising her record to 8-1. She allowed 5 runs (3 earned) on 11 hits, striking out 4 and walking none.
The Warhawks will travel to Watertown on Tuesday, as they have a bye in the first round of the State Tournament by virtue of earning the #1 seed in Sectional 7. They will play the winner of the Wauwatosa East/Whitefish Bay game on Thursday, May 29 at home at 4:30.
Good luck to the boys' tennis team as they travel to Cedarburg tomorrow to compete in a quadrangular! Also, good luck next week as the team starts post-season play at Nicolet!
