Track and FieldOn Friday, May 2nd, four qualifying athletes competed in Hale Distance Night hosted by West Allis Nathan Hale. It was a fun night of racing under the lights and they all raced well against a competitive field of athletes! 

Performances included:

Vander Hausmann - 12th place in the Freshman Boys 1600m Run (4:49.87) *new PR*

Kierta Siegert - 19th place in the 800m Run (2:22.80) *new PR*

Jack Wanezek - 3rd place in the 800m Run (1:54.59)  *new PR*

JACK’S PERFORMANCE SET A NEW SCHOOL RECORD, BREAKING THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 1:54.70 SET BY TIM KLUGE IN 2001!

Samyiah Fox - 13th place in the 3200m Run (11:37.39) *new PR* 

On Monday, May 5th, the JV team competed at the Slinger JV Invite. The girls scored 85 points to place 5th out of 8 teams and the boys scored 52 points to place 8th out of 9 teams. 

Top performances for the girls included: 

1st place in 1600m Run (6:11.64) - Ella Pedersen

2nd place in the 300m Hurdles (1:02.48) - Bella LaLicata

2nd place in the Pole Vault (7-0) - Tayler Gomolla

3rd place in the Triple Jump (29-5.75) - Alikah Hesiak

2nd place in the Shot Put (30-4) - Sam Evraets

3rd place in the Shot Put (29-9) - Rachel Kohls

2nd place in the Discus Throw (87-7) - Rachel Kohls

2nd place in the 800m Run (2:17.15) - Bruce Robbins

3rd place in the High Jump (5-2) - Mason Maciejewski

2nd place in the Pole Vault (9-0) - Anthony Nuchikat

On Wednesday, May 7th, the Varsity team competed at the GMC Relays hosted by Wauwatosa East. The girls scored 76 points to place 3rd out of 9 teams and the boys scored 52 points to place 8th out of 9 teams.

Medaling performances for the girls included: 

3rd place in the 3x100m Shuttle Hurdle Relay (53.55) - Gianna Lauritsen, Rylie Wille, Elise Redeker

2nd place in the 4x100m Relay (50.42) - Morgan Johnson, Kaliyah Terrell, Julia Skarda, Addison Braidigan

2nd place in the Sprint Medley Relay (1:50.95) - Addison Braidigan, Kaliyah Terrell, Sophia Zastrow, Lydia Taraboi

3rd place in the High Jump Relay (13-10 combined)- Elise Redeker, Addie Bushkie, Jenny Wagner

1st place in the Discus Throw Relay (344-7 combined) - Piper Eby, Kierta Siegert, Madeline Jakusz

Boys Golf

The boys' golf team continued conference play on Monday at Westmoor Country Club. The weather warmed up and so did the Warhawks. The team fired a 148 and finished second behind Marquette. The team was  led by Reid Newkirk's  4 under par 32 which set the school 9 hole scoring record, Charlie Larson 37, Brendan Fredrickson 39 followed by Trevor Newkirk and Preston Filter with a 40.

On Wednesday the team traveled to Bristlecone Pines for the Legend Invitational. The team shot a 311 and placed 7th out of 24 teams.  Leading the way for the Warhawks was Charlie Larson with a 1 over par 72 followed by Brendan Fredrickson 78, Reid Newkirk 80, Adam Dethloff 81 and Trevor Newkirk 86.  Trevor wasn't the hottest player on the course that day, but he was the hottest player on the difficult 179 yard par 3 - hole #4 with a Hole in One!

LacrosseLacrosseLacrosseLacrosseLacrosseLacrosseLacrosseLacrosseLacrosseLacrosseSoccerOn Monday the girls had a rescheduled match against Brookfield Central. JV dominated winning 6-0. Varsity also got the win, beating the Lancers 1-0 off a goal from Maya Staples at the end of the first half! 

Last night, both JV and Varsity played Racine Horlick on Youth Night in front of a bunch of Future Warhawks. Varsity won 8-0! Jaycee Mani lead the charge by scoring a hat-trick in the first 3 minutes of the game. Other goals were scored by Mary Leininger, Emersen Hay, Mila Schroeder, Megan Grater, and Kayla Flath. JV also won 9-0. Next week the girls are back at home against Kenosha Bradford on Monday and Whitefish Bay on Saturday. Come out to support the girls!!

The Warhawks scored in all but one of the innings.  Emmy Coulter led the 18-hit attack with 4 hits (4-5, 3 R, 2 RBI, SB), and Ally Pentek (3-4, 3 R, RBI, SB) also helped set the table for Kayla Preiss (2-4, 2B, 2 R, 4 RBI, 2 SB) and Madison Werner (2-3, 2B, 2 R, 2 RBI).  Kennedy Bennett (2-5) and Kylie Otto (2-5) also had multi-hit games.

Kylie Otto (5-2) went the distance in the circle, notching her 6th complete game of the season.  She scattered 4 hits and 4 walks, giving up 2 runs (both earned) while striking out 1.

5/8 - GTown 17, Tosa East 0 (5 innings)

 

The Warhawk offense exploded for 11 runs in the top of the first and never looked back.  Offensive leaders included:

Germantown ties multiple teams for 4th place with Adam Emerson and Will Wagner taking 1st place at 1 doubles! James Goetter stepped up and took 3rd place at 2 doubles! Cooper Meinecke and Josiah Schmidt took away a consolation medal Saturday as well. 

TennisTennisTennisMusicCongratulations to the Band and Choir Students who performed at the WSMA State Solo and Ensemble Festival on Saturday. Fifty events performed and received 32 Superiors and 18 Excellent ratings. Nine entries received a perfect score. Great job everyone!
