Midwest Invitational – September 23rd, 2023

Janesville was the location for the largest HS meet in the Midwest, with 50+ schools represented, and 300-400 runners in each race!  This was the team's first meet of the season running on a golf course, and despite the hilly terrain, the girls continued to post new personal records.  New PRs were run by Samyiah Fox, Lizzy Liker, Kierta Siegert, Adeline Timm, Savannah Wendorf, Ava Borchardt, Ellie Ankerson, Clare Kanters, Ella Molnar, and Jordan Knudson; Ella Armstrong and Alissa Lorbecki had new SBs (season bests).

The varsity team finished 15th, led by medal winners Samyiah Fox (21st) and Lizzy Liker (32nd).  The JV team was 7th, led by medal winners Gracie Ballesteros (11th) and Ella Armstrong (26th).  The team also continued the trend this year of running each course faster than they ran it last year.  Full results can be found at: https://my.raceresult.com/260199/

The team's next meet is the Fond du Lac Invite; another golf course and an opportunity for some fast times!  Good luck!

The Germantown Girls' Swim and Dive Team had another great week.  Last Saturday the Varsity swimmers headed to Evanston, IL to compete in the Evanston Township Invitational where they took first place (first time in Germantown history) against some of the top IL teams. It was a FAST and FUN meet.  A special congratulations to Izzy Barger, Abby Bruss, Caden Kelly and Julia Saxman for setting a meet and team record in the 200 Free Relay and to Izzy Barger for setting a meet record in the 100 back! Last night, the team was at Brookfield East for a conference dual.  The varsity fell just a few points short and lost to Brookfield East 88-98....but put up one heck of a fight.
