PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports) is a district-wide program established to maintain a safe and effective school environment that maximizes academic achievement and behavioral competencies of all students.
The foundation of PBIS at County Line School is the four building-wide expectations:

Be Respectful
Be Responsible
and Care!
The major components of PBIS include:

Positively stated expectations for all students and staff.

Procedures for teaching expectations to students (Cool Tools).

Continuum of procedures for encouraging demonstration and maintenance of these expectations.

Continuum of procedures for discouraging rule-violating behavior.

Procedures for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the discipline system on a regular basis.
Students who show positive behavior at County Line Elementary School will:

Receive Comet Code Coupons

Participate in a weekly drawing of Comet Code Coupons.

Participate in an all-school recognition activity.
Students, who show inappropriate behavior, will receive support and teaching about the appropriate behavior that is expected.

To be successful, our behavior program needs to be a partnership between home and school. Throughout the school year, the PBIS team will send updates and information home about PBIS. We invite your comments, concerns, and ideas to make PBIS work at our school.
