The Germantown School District has a proud tradition of academic excellence, evident in its state-issued District and School Report Cards, ACT scores, AP exams, and other assessments. The most recent state report cards (2018–19) rated the Germantown School District and its schools as "Exceeds Expectations," with County Line and Rockfield Elementary Schools rated as the top category of "Significantly Exceeds Expectations."
Academic Hall of Fame
The district recently added an Academic Hall of Fame at Germantown High School to recognize students who earn an ACT score of 30 and above and Advanced Placement (AP) Scholar awards. Within the AP Scholar award are four categories:
- National Scholar: earned an average of 4 or higher on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.
- Scholar with Distinction: earned an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
- Scholar with Honor: earned an average of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
- Scholar: completed three or more AP Exams, with grades of 3 or higher.
Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence
In 2012, Rockfield Elementary School was named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the US Department of Education. Approximately 240 are chosen each year from more than 15,000 schools nationwide. Rockfield was chosen due to consistently high student achievement levels, and was one of eight public schools selected in Wisconsin in 2012. County Line Elementary School was named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 2009.
School Performance
According to Wisconsin Statute 115.38 annually by January 1, each school board shall notify the parent or guardian of each pupil enrolled in the school district of the right to request a school and school district performance report.
